FPS & PERFORMANCE

How much does resolution affect FPS?

Higher resolutions increase the number of pixels the GPU must render. Moving from 1080p to 1440p or 4K therefore tends to increase GPU load and reduce FPS.

What to check

Use FrameForecast's FPS estimator and compatibility warnings as a starting point, then verify the specifications of your exact PC and any component you plan to buy. Game patches, drivers, cooling, background applications and settings can all affect real performance.

How FrameForecast can help

Compare hardware in the FPS estimator, run the PC benchmark on a desktop or laptop, and review the upgrade suggestions and compatibility warnings before deciding which component is worth changing.
